The MO-ASS* RING TURRET SYSTEM

*(Mother OF All Shooting Systems)

This flexible Ring Turret System is a reconfigurable LMG manipulation platform.

Exquisite simplicity has guided the design. There is no computer. All control functions are relay operated and hard wired.  Onboard diagnostics and field serviceability keep the system able and focused on the objective.

The System can be configured four ways.

1)Vehicle mounted and interfaced

      In this mode, the ring turret is affixed to the vehicle roof opening. It is displayed as fitted to the Pinzgauer 710K with no structural modifications. The turret can be installed in almost any vehicle with little time or resources consumed due to it’s modular design.

       The turret is  articulated in three axis via a driver or observer manipulated proportional joystick. The system is all-electric  and automatic position locks ensure spot-on target acquisition. The range of motion enables engagement of ground and airborne targets.  An exclusive scissors-action third axis enables extreme fine traverse motion control.

        Target acquisition is attained through the use of direct visual contact, heads-up monocular or a cockpit mounted  H/D video display of target information from a weapons mounted video imager. Sunlight, low light and infrared operation are supported with thermal imaging an option.

   Joystick controls all mount manipulation, video, illumination and weapons firing functions. Real time target solutions are provided with the unique ability to fine tune the electronic reticule. A ‘Deadman’ segment fitted to the joystick prevents inadvertent mount movement or weapon firing.      

 The mount has recoil control and isolates imaging and illumination gear from the shock of firing the weapon.

2)The same vehicle mounted turret can quickly be refitted with a manual rifle mount  with geodesic armor to protect the soldier standing in the turret.

3)The turret can be fitted with ground legs to provide a remote, 360 degree ground mount with all of the electronic features.

4)The ground mounted turret can be fitted with the manual rifle mount also, providing a manned 360 degree manual LMG platform.

In every configuration, ammo supply and feed ramp are included. Link and spent shell collection are provided as required. Large magazines and boosters available.

We are displaying this system with the venerable Browning 1919 LMG.  She is an obvious favorite where cost, ammo and parts availability are of prime interest.  We have tested with a variety of 30 caliber weapons and can support your rifle specifications.
